Apply Artisan Assistant X16 at Ivanplats  – Mokopane, Limpopo Province, South Africa.

IVANPLATS (Pty) Ltd, a subsidiary of Ivanhoe Mines, is advancing the development of its world-class palladium-rhodium-nickel-copper-gold project in the Limpopo Province near Mokopane. This unique mineral deposit will be exploited using large mechanised state-of-the-art underground mining methods, deploying the latest technology to  develop this “mine of the future”. Suitably qualified and experienced candidates are invited to apply for the following vacancies required for the project development.

Artisan Assistant X16 REF: UMS-2512

This role is responsible to assist artisans e.g. mechanics, electricians, fitters and boilermakers in the performance of their duties.

Requirements:

·      Grade 12.

·      At least 2 years’ experience as a general engineering assistant.

·      Experience in a mining environment will be a distinct advantage.

·      Literate in English.

·      Candidates must be willing to work shifts.

·      Candidates must be medically fit – all will be required to pass a medical examination as well as Heat Tolerance Screening (HTS).
